Council Tax specialists join government-backed cyber security certification
scheme
Caritas has achieved Cyber Essentials certification, strengthening the company’s ability to protect its digital assets and data.
Developed by experts at the National Cyber Security Centre, the scheme supports organisations to prevent, detect and respond to cyber security incidents.
Cyber Essentials ensures five technical controls are in place, including secure computer configuration, malware protection to identify and neutralise viruses or other malicious software, security update management and firewalls.
The controls are designed to prevent the most common internet-based cyber security threats.
Cyber Essentials is the baseline standard of cyber security recommended by the Government for organisations of all sizes.
The industry-supported certification scheme meets Government and crucial supply-chain requirements and can reduce the likelihood of common and costly cyber incidents.
