The northern HA has enlisted Caritas to review historical council tax and business rates accounts
Karbon Homes is the latest housing association to enlist council tax specialists Caritas to undertake a review of their historical council tax and business rates accounts.
Formed in 2017, Karbon Homes has almost 35,000 homes across the North East of England and Yorkshire. Over the next five years, the affordable housing provider plans to invest over £233 million in building new homes.
The investment will include developing more homes for affordable rent, as well as homes for affordable home ownership, available through the schemes like Rent to Buy and Shared Ownership. This is alongside more homes for older people who want to live independently.
The new homes will be built in line with Karbon’s three strategic aims – ‘to provide as many good quality homes as it can, to deliver excellent service to its customers, and to shape strong, sustainable places for its communities.’
Karbon joins fellow housing associations Notting Hill Genesis and Metropolitan Thames Valley currently working with Caritas.
With the project underway, the positive progress made so far signals another success story for the council tax and business rates specialists.
